Covid-19 caused 115,736 new cases: the highest number ever reported

On Tuesday, India recorded 115,736 new cases of the novel coronavirus, the highest number so far. Maharashtra reported 55,469 cases, while Chhattisgarh reported 9,921 cases, a new record. More than 5,000 cases were registered in Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, respectively. PM Narendra Modi will meet the CMs of all states on Thursday, April 8, to discuss the constant increase in a surge of covid-19 countrywide.
