  • The world Hunger day is being observed globally on 28th May 2021 every year. This day is being celebrated to spread the awareness among the people that 820 million people are living in chronic hunger worldwide.

  • The importance of this day is being observed from 2011 only to spread awareness regarding hunger and poverty through sustainable undertakings.
  • Although World Hunger Day is an initiative by The Hunger Project, first started in the year 2011. This year marks the 10th annual WHD to look at hunger as a whole.
