  • The importance of this day is being observed from 2011 only to spread awareness regarding hunger and poverty through sustainable undertakings.
  • Although World Hunger Day is an initiative by The Hunger Project, first started in the year 2011. This year marks the 10th annual WHD to look at hunger as a whole.
