Due to will commodity costs, Hero MotoCorp announced last month that it would be revising the prices of all of its goods beginning in April. After the new rates went into practice, the Indian marque’s commuters have seen a huge increase. Indeed, the HF Deluxe, the company’s most affordable model, now starts at Rs 50,700 and goes up to Rs 61,925.
Hero MotoCorp has quietly unveiled the HF 100 to combat this and maintain price parity with the competition.
How much does it cost? Who Are The Opponents?
The HF 100 costs Rs 49,400 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is Rs 1,300 less than the HF Deluxe’s base model. This not only makes the HF 100 the most affordable bike in Hero’s lineup, but it also lets the company compete on price with its competitors. The bike competes with the Bajaj CT 100 (Rs 49,152) and the Bajaj Platina 100 KS (Rs 49,152). (Rs 49,261).
What’s New in this Version?
The bike does not have any deluxe features, as the name implies. In lieu of the fancier device found on the HF Deluxe, the bike comes with a simpler metal grab bar. And chrome elements like the exhaust heat shield and crash guards have been replaced with blacked-out alternatives. With the HF 100, Hero MotoCorp has gone with a more basic rear suspension configuration.
What Hasn’t Changed?
The Hero HF 100 uses the same 97.2cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine as the HF 100 Deluxe, which produces 8.36PS at 8000rpm and 8.05Nm at 5000rpm.
Given the rise in the price of bikes across the market, launching a motorcycle under the Rs 50,000 mark is a smart step. Despite being the brand’s most affordable bike, Hero has managed to keep features like the i3s for increased mileage.
