BMW has teased the 2 Series Coupe, claiming that it is nearing the end of its development cycle as it prepares to enter series production. The dynamic testing and tuning of the new BMW 2 Series Coupé’s drive and suspension systems under racetrack conditions have begun the final step of the series development process. The BMW 2 Series Coupe will come with a rear-wheel-drive setup, a powerful in-line 6-cylinder engine, and expect it to be dynamic in terms of the way it drives.

The production and test engineers ensure that the engine’s performance characteristics go hand in hand with precisely controllable handling in all situations, fascinating cornering dynamics, optimized traction in all weather and road conditions, and perfectly balanced ride comfort by thoroughly testing all drives and chassis systems. Simultaneously, the car is fine-tuned to improve self-steering and dynamics while applying lateral acceleration forces.
