In the first quarter of 2021, Mercedes-Benz increased its global sales by 22.3%
Mercedes-Benz sold 590,999 passenger cars worldwide in the first quarter of 2021, owing to the high demand for plug-in hybrids and all-electric vehicles in China and the United States. In comparison to the same time last year, revenues have increased by 22.3 percent globally.
One out of every four Mercedes-Benz and smart cars sold in Europe was an xEV.
About 59,000 plug-in hybrids and all-electric vehicles were sold globally, accounting for around 10% of total sales, with over 16,000 all-electric vehicles sold.
The EQA, which was released in January of this year, has also been well received. The EQA has already received 20,000 orders.
Given the positive start, the company plans to introduce three new models this year: the EQS, EQB, and EQE.
