Naomi Osaka the “Sportswomen of Year” At Lauras World Sports Award

  • The world’s Number 2 tennis player Naomi Osaka Named the “Sportswomen Of the Year” At Lauras World Sports Awards in 2021. 
  • Therefore, In 2019 She won the “Breakthrough of the year” Award. She is a Japanese tennis player. 
  • This is said to be the second Recognition at the lauras World Sports awards. 
  • In the men’s category, World number two Rafael Nadal of Spain won the 2021 “Laureus Sportsman of the Year” title. This is the second title for Nadal, who also claimed the prestigious award in 2011.

  • Osaka won her first two Grand Slam singles titles in back-to-back Grand Slam tournaments and is the first player to achieve this feat since Jennifer Capriati in 2001. She also became the first woman to win successive Grand Slam singles titles since Serena Williams in 2015.
