History Of the Day –

In 1982, international Dance day was celebrated to make the Birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810), the creator of ballet. International Dance Day was celebrated to Spread the message of the benefits of dance, celebrate dance and bring people altogether. In fact, the theme of international Dance Day 2021 is “purpose Of dance”.This day Aims to bring people altogether with a common Language – Dance. 

Significance – 

The Dance Committee of ITI Founded the international dance Day and decided to celebrate this day on 20th April. The International Dance Day aims to celebrate dance, revel in the universality of this art form, and cross all political, cultural, and ethnic barriers.

Hence, International Dance Day Is very much Significant in the World.
