BCCI Official: IPL Governing Council Takes The Final Call On Venues

 

The governing council of IPL would be seeking assurances from the state government before letting them host the matches this year. As the sources revealed that nothing has been decided regarding the venues. 

 The governing council is monitoring a situation covid- 19 in Mumbai. They would be soon conducting the 14th edition of the premier T20 tournament. 

The BCCI official told ANI, that BCCI official needs constant assurance from the state authorities that would be no unwanted incidents will take place when matches happen there. ‘’ the sources added. 

Besides this, over the Mumbai being an IPL venue or not sources said; we are keeping a close watch on  Mumbai because of covid cases.

Although apart from these, the chief minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh was surprised after hearing that Mohali didn’t get chosen for the IPL venture. Hence he asked the BCCI official: to re-look at their decision.
