AIIMS chief Delhi Director Dr. Randeep Guleria on Tuesday said that there is no data, either in India or internationally, to indicate that children will be seriously infected in any next wave of COVID-19. Addressing a joint press conference on the COVID-19 situation here, Dr. Guleria said it is a piece of misinformation that subsequent waves of the COVID-19 pandemic are going to cause severe illness in children. On rape allegations against TV actor Pearl V Puri, Vasai Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sanjay Kumar Patil responded to TV producer Ekta Kapoor's claim that the actor is innocent during a press conference. In a clip from the press conference posted on Twitter on Saturday (June 5), the DCP said that the victim has evidence and testimony to substantiate the allegations of rape, refuting Ekta Kapoor's claims. In the video, the DCP said that an official complaint was filed by the girl's father and officials at the Waliv police station, registering a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. Naagin 3 fame Pearl V Puri sent to 14-day Judicial Custody for Raping a Minor

Naagin 3 fame Pearl V Puri, accused of sexually abusing a minor girl, has been sent to 14-day judicial custody by a local court in Vasai. The 31-year-old actor was arrested late Friday evening. Pearl was remanded to judicial custody and booked for rape and molestation under the section of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. He was arrested by the Waliv police late Friday evening under IPC section 376 AB, r/w POCSO Act 4, 8, 12,19, 21.
