Actor Karan Mehra, who played the role of Naitik in the popular daily soap Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has been arrested in Mumbai after his wife Nisha Rawal filed a complaint. The Mumbai Police has registered a case against the actor after a brawl broke out between the couple on Monday night (May 31). There have been reports of troubles in their married life even though the actors called it nonsense.
According to ABP News, Karan was arrested for assaulting Nisha. He was released on bail this morning after spending the entire night in lockup.

The actor duo has been in the news for more than a month now. There were reports of the couple’s marriage going bad, however, Karan denied the claims and called them rumors.
For the past few months, Karan Mehra was staying in Punjab for his show Mawan Thandiyan Chavan. He returned to Mumbai last month after testing positive from some people on the set. Talking about divorce rumors, Karan told a publication earlier, “I have no clue what is causing these rumors all of a sudden. I saw this news today and I am getting calls from everywhere. When Nisha got the news, she cleared it too. Even after that, I don’t know how these rumors started spreading.
The actor got tested four times for COVID-19, but all came out negative despite having symptoms. Talking to Hindustan Times, Karan said, “Imagine, I am unwell, and in mourning and I had to exert myself and talk to the media! It was madness. I was not in the frame of mind but had to set things straight. I had to straighten up. Nisha is taking care of me through COVID-19.
Karan and Nisha met on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and fell in love. The duo tied the knot in 2012 and welcomed their son Kavish in 2017. Reportedly, actor Karan Mehra stayed at the Goregaon Police Station for questioning and then was released on bail. He will be produced before a magistrate court on Tuesday.
