Telugu Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on the 10th day of Vaisakh month. Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on different dates in different regions. According to the Hindu calendar 2021, Hanuman Jayanti falls in the month of Chaitra (March-April according to the Gregorian calendar). However, in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated for 41 days starting from Chaitra Purnima and ending on the tenth day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Vaishakha.

Lord Hanuman is one of the most important deities who is considered to be an exemplification of strength, devotion, and perseverance. The hero of the epic Ramayana, Hanuman, also known as Bajrangbali and Pavanaputra, is remembered for his ardent devotion to Lord Rama. He is one of the Chiranjivi(s) i.e. immortal living beings who are to remain alive on the Earth forever.
Lord Hanuman is one of the most revered, beloved, and cherished gods. He is best known for his loyalty towards Lord Ram. According to Hindu scriptures, he is endowed with massive strength and hence devotees worship him to seek good health.

The Nakshatra will be Uttara Bhadrapada up to 08.47 pm, then it will be Revati. Sun will remain in Vrishabha Rashi while Moon will be in Meena Rashi.
Telugu Hanuman Jayanthi 2021: Puja Vidhi
- The people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have their unique way of celebrating this day. The festival lasts for 41 days from Chaitra Purnima to the 10th day of the month of Vaishakh during Krishna Paksha. On Chaitra Purnima, devotees begin their 41-day fast with initiation.
- During this period, they abstain from smoking and consuming alcohol and meat. A special Hanuman Diksha Mala and orange dhoti are worn by all the devotees during the Vratam period.
- Lord Hanuman is believed to have taken birth at sunrise. Thus, celebrations in Hanuman temples start before sunrise and continue for the entire day, until after sunset.
- On the day of Hanuman Jayanti, devotees observe a day-long fast, perform puja by offering vermilion or red cloth with flowers like marigolds, visit the temple and carry out processions and religious gatherings. Various kinds of foods, sweets, and flowers are also distributed to Lord Hanuman’s followers as Prasad.
- They also remain barefoot during the fast. They read Hanuman Chalisa and feed the monkeys to seek blessings from Lord Hanuman. Devotees also light a lamp with ghee and pour mustard oil and vermilion on the idol of Lord Hanuman.
