PM Narendra Modi will meet CMs on April 8 to discuss the covid surge
PM Narendra Modi will meet the CMs of all states on Thursday, April 8, to discuss the constant increase in a surge of covid-19 countrywide. India is observing the covid cases are increasing rapidly.
As of Monday, India reported one lakh new cases and became the second country after the US to report six times new cases in a day.
Hence, keeping the view of the drastic rise in covid infection, the prime minister will meet CMs of all states to discuss the current covid-19 situation and vaccination progress, as per the PTI sources quoted.
Although, the last meeting of PM with CMs was on March 17. When he conveyed his concern over the rise of covid infection in every state of the country and called for a “quick and decisive” step to analyze the “second peak”.
