Today is India's 50th National Safety Day. On every 4th march, India celebrates this day, to raise awareness and safety guidelines, specifically road safety and workplace safety.
India's National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB)shows that a gross total of 4,21,104 human deaths occurred in 2019 as a result of fatal accidents. Traffic accidents remained higher in number around 4,67,171.
The government of India has set up a National Safety Council (NSC), to control road accidents, which often results from defying the traffic rules.
