Despite Covid-19 Vaccine Shortage, India Started Vaccination for 18 and Above
The covid-19 vaccination for 18 and above started today on a flat note in the middle of a shortage of vaccine countrywide.
The decision was made after the center had announced a “liberalized policy” to raise the vaccination and made it available for all adults from 18-44 years to get the vaccine from May 1.
Although, some states have denied the vaccination program by seeing the vaccine shortage. According to the health ministry, till Friday 2.45 crore people have registered themselves on a co-win portal. But due to the heavy scarcity of the vaccine, many states couldn’t make it possible to begin the vaccination drive from today.
