After other leaders including Rahul Gandhi: Why action on Congress Twitter Accounts now?
Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi's Twitter account was temporarily suspended a few days back. Now the micro-blogging site has also blocked the official Twitter handle of the Congress party citing violation of rules.
Earlier, the Congress had claimed that the handles of half a dozen senior leaders, including the party's media chief Randeep Surjewala, have also been closed. On behalf of the party, it was said that the Twitter accounts of party general secretary and former minister Ajay Maken, party's whip in Lok Sabha Manickam Tagore, Assam in-charge and former union minister Jitendra Singh and Mahila Congress President Sushmita Dev have been locked.
