6.4 Magnitude Earthquake strikes near Sonitpur Assam: Photos| Videos

An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 struck Assam and adjoining areas, including Bhutan, on Wednesday morning, the National Centre for Seismology said. https://twitter.com/AFP/status/1387252866100862977?s=20 The earthquake hit Sonitpur, Assam, but tremors were also felt in Assam’s capital city, Guwahati, in the morning hours on Wednesday. Vigorous tremors were felt in the North-East as well as parts of North Bengal. While there is no news of anyone being injured, the photos come from broken walls and windows,  walls developing cracks. The epicenter of the earthquake was near Dhekiajuli town, 140 km (86 miles) north of Guwahati. The earthquake struck at 7:51 am at a depth of 17 km from the surface.
