Mamta Banerjee launches “Maa” scheme to feed poor in Bengal at Rs 5/- per plate
The chief minister of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee has virtually launched the scheme‘’ MAA’’ under which the government will provide the daily meals at the nominal cost of Rs 5/- only, mainly to the poor people. As ahead of the assembly elections in the state itself.
The government will give a platter of rice, dal, A vegetable and egg curry for rupees 5/- only. She said that the self-help group kitchens will be operating from 1 pm to 3 pm every day.
