A senior physicist, who was pro-vice-chancellor of the University of Hyderabad and has thoroughly analyzed the COVID-19 pattern in India, said on Monday that the third wave appeared to have set in on July 4

The pace of the second wave of corona epidemic in the country has slowed down, but in Kerala and Maharashtra, the situation is the opposite. For 11 days i.e. till July 11, more than 1.28 lakh cases of corona infection have been registered in Kerala and more than 88,130 in Maharashtra, which experts say that there is a need to be careful as if these states don’t become a hotspot for the third wave. This is the arrival of the third wave of Corona in Kerala and Maharashtra. Similar trends were seen in the first and second waves as well.

Kerala is the only state in the country where more than 1,28,951 cases of infection have been registered in the last 11 days. At the same time, during the second wave of corona in Delhi, more than 25 thousand corona infection cases were registered. At the same time, only 870 cases have been registered in the national capital of the country between July 1-11.

Kerala: The situation in these Districts is Worrying

  • Corona patients are increasing rapidly in 14 districts including Mallapuram, Kottayam, Kasaragod, Kozhikode, and Thrissur in Kerala, which has increased the concern from the common people to the administration.
  • The cases of coronavirus are increasing regularly in Mallapuram, Kottayam, Kasaragod, while the cases are neither increasing nor decreasing in Kottayam and Thrissur.

Maharashtra: 10 Cases are being found Daily in these Districts

  • In Maharashtra, the covid graph has been continuously going up in the last two weeks.
  • Cases of infection are increasing rapidly in Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, and Thane. Where every day between 8,000 to 10 thousand cases is coming.

Let us inform you that after the decrease in the cases of corona infection in the country, people have started roaming in other places including hill stations, where corona rules are being violated fiercely. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed concern over the increasing crowd in markets and elsewhere and people not following the Covid-19 protocol which may lead the third wave to come. Along with this, the state governments were instructed to be vigilant.
