Pearl V Puri was granted bail on a cash surety of ₹25,000 by Aditi Kadam, sessions judge, Vasai, on Tuesday. The actor was arrested by the Waliv police on the evening of June 4 under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for allegedly raping a five-year-old minor at a film set in Naigaon, Vasai, and was remanded to 14-day judicial custody.

Pearl V Puri gets Bail in a Rape Case

Pearl has been granted bail by the Vasai court today (June 15). Pearl’s lawyer Jitesh Agarwal confirmed the news to IndiaToday. It was the third hearing for Pearl V Puri’s bail plea in the Vasai court. The actor was in judicial custody for 11 days.

Pearl V Puri arrested in an Alleged Rape Case

In Vasai, Mumbai, Waliv Police has registered a case of rape against six people including Pearl Puri. All the six accused have been taken into custody by the police and they are being interrogated. Pearl has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl under the POCSO Act. He was arrested by the Waliv police with the help of Amboli police on Friday.

In the meantime, the lawyer of the complainant, the father of the victim, will be appearing before the Bombay High Court in a day or two to challenge the Vasai sessions court’s order. The complainant’s lawyer said that the police were given no chance to investigate the case.
