The Indian partner Dr. Reddy’s laboratory of Russian investment fund said it has begun sputnik V’s introduction with the first dose being administered in Hyderabad on 14 May, Friday.
The company also stated that the imported vaccine’s price has been fixed at Rs 948 per dose with 5% GST to be charged on the shot, keeping the price under 1000 at 995.4 Rs.
“ As the part of limited pilot, the soft launch of the vaccine has commenced and the first dose of the vaccine was administered in Hyderabad today on May 14, 2021, the company said in regulatory filing with the bourses.
“ The imposed doses of the vaccine are presently priced at an MRP of Rs 948 plus 5% GST per dose, with the possibility of lower price point when supply begins, it said.”

The company said that the first load of imported doses of sputnik V vaccine, delivered in India on May 1, 2021, received administrative clearance from the central drugs laboratory, Kasauli on May 13, 2021.
The further consignments of sputnik V are expected to be in the upcoming months according to Dr reddy’s laboratory along with the supply of the sputnik V will be underway from the Indian manufacturing partner.
“ The company is working closely with its six manufacturing partners in India to fulfill regulatory requirements to ensure smooth and timely supply. Dr. Reddy’s will work closely with stakeholders in the government and private sector in India to ensure the widest possible reach of the sputnik V vaccines as part of the national inoculation effort, said the company.
