Now Amnesty International, an international organization working to protect human rights, human values ​​, and human freedom, has developed a tool that can detect Pegasus and similar spyware. This tool is named Mobile Verification Toolkit (MVT). Let us know what this tool is and how it works.

What is Mobile Verification Toolkit?

• Amnesty International has given information about this toolkit on its website. Amnesty International has said that with the help of this MVT, it can be detected whether your phone has been targeted through Pegasus or not.
• MVT works on both Android and iOS devices.
• The report also said that it is easier to detect any spyware in iPhone than on Android because Apple’s security is stronger. MVT’s code is open source and is available on Github.

How does MVT work?

• First of all, let us tell you that no common man can use this tool. For this, you need to have Python 3.6 in your system. Before using this tool, the data present in the phone has to be backed up.
• After that MVT decrypts the data in your phone so that any hacking or tapping or tracking traces can be found.
• This tool can also decrypt encrypted backups of iOS. If you have an Apple Mac, you’ll also need to install Xcode and Homebrew.
