Starting on 22 February, the new Tata Safari SUV, powered by a Kryotec 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine, will be available for sale in India. India’s most highly awaited upcoming SUVs—Safari. Tata Motors is scheduled to announce the price of the 2021 Safari in India on 22 February. The home-grown automaker first took the wraps off last month’s upcoming Tata SUV while announcing the mass production of the car in the country had begun. This was followed later on 26 January by a formal presentation, where the entire 2021 Safari was revealed, including its interior, specifications, features, and more.
Finally, a few weeks before announcing the price of new SUVs in India, the company also began accepting Tata Safari bookings for 2021.
The new Tata Safari SUV will be propelled by a Kryotec 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that belts out a maximum power output of 168 bhp at 3,750 rpm along and a peak torque of 350 Nm between 1,750 Rpm to 2,500 rpm. As for the transmission, Tata is offering the upcoming SUV in India with a choice between a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed automatic torque converter automatic gearbox.
An ARAI-certified fuel economy of 16.14 km/l will be provided by Tata Safari with a manual gearbox, while the automatic model will have a fuel efficiency figure of 14.08 km/l.
The latest Safari SUV will receive a plethora of features such as Xenon HID projector headlamps, dual-function LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, stepped windshield, signature twin light LED taillamps, roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, etc., set to be offered in six models, namely XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ, and XZ+.
Within, an 8.8-inch floating infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, iRA connected technology system, voice recognition, seven-inch instrument panel, nine-speaker JBL sound system, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, etc. will be included in the provisions across various trim levels.
