Tata cars get cheaper, discount of up to 3 Lakh by Delhi Government

Tata cars get cheaper

Delhi government discount on Tata Nexon and Tata Tigor: Delhi Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government headed by Arvind Kejriwal is providing a huge discount on leading Tata cars- Tata Tigor and Tata Nexon. In reality, Tata Motors is doing well in the segment of electric vehicles, and its two Tata Nexon EV and Tata Tigor EV cars are extremely popular among buyers of ‘eco-friendly’ cars. In line with its vision of promoting electric vehicles and making Delhi the EV capital of India, the Delhi government’s decision has been taken.

The Delhi government is providing a discount of Rs 1.50 lakh on both XM and XZ+ Tata Nexon models, as per a report by ‘Amar Ujaja’. In addition, they are also providing benefits in the form of exemptions from road tax and registration fees. Road tax and registration fees are Rs 1,40,500 for the XM version of the Nexon EV, while Rs 1,49,900 for the XZ+ trim is the same. This brings the overall discount to over Rs 3 lakh on Nexon EV.

This is part of the ‘Switch Delhi’ campaign by Arvind Kejriwal to encourage electric vehicle adoption in the national capital. Following this launch, Tata Nexon EV and Tata Tigor EV will be available at significantly reduced rates for car buyers.

A maximum discount of up to Rs 2.86 lakh on Tata Tigor EV is also given by the Kejriwal government. The amount that is provided as the discount would be credited directly to the client’s bank account. The movement is known as ‘Switch Delhi’ and aims to encourage the use in the country of more electric vehicles. With a discount or an incentive, electric models of both Tata Nexon and Tigor are actually offered. In the next six weeks, the Delhi government also plans to employ only electric vehicles for various purposes.
