Kapil Dev became the second former India cricketer to receive the vaccine after India head coach Ravi Shastri, who got vaccinated on Tuesday at Ahmedabad.
Ravi Shastri tweeted and thanx the medical team.
Got the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Thank you to the amazing medical professionals & scientists for empowering India 🇮🇳 against the pandemic.

Both cricket legends received the vaccine after India’s vaccination campaign entered the second phase on Monday in which the coverage was expanded to include everyone above 60 and those over 45 with co-morbidities.
Last year in October, Kapil Dev was admitted to the hospital after he complained of chest pain and has undergone a successful angioplasty after suffering a heart attack.
