The iX electric SUV, BMW’s all-new electric SUV, is currently in the final stages of production, with a launch scheduled for later this year. The BMW iX electric SUV will be available in two versions: BMW iX xDrive40 and BMW iX xDrive50, with a range of up to 600 kilometers depending on the battery pack.

It is the first model developed on a modern, flexible, scalable architecture that will underpin the BMW Group’s future, and it will be produced at BMW’s Dingolfing plant.

• In both models, the BMW iX is fitted with one electric motor at the front axle and another at the rear axle, as well as an electric all-wheel-drive feature.
• The BMW iX xDrive40’s 70kWh battery produces 300bhp and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds, with a range of 400 kilometers on a single charge.
• A DC fast charge of up to 200kW will charge the battery from 10% to 80% capacity in 40 minutes, while a 10-minute fast charge extends the car’s total range by 120km in the BMW iX xDrive50 and 90km in the BMW iX xDrive40.
• The BMW iX shares its range, width, and height with the BMW X5, as well as its wheelbase with the flagship BMW X7.

• Inside, there’s plenty of space, high-quality materials, a slim instrument panel, newly designed seats with integrated headrests, and a large panoramic glass roof.
• The BMW iX is also the first BMW model to provide the updated BMW Operating System 8 as well as the new generation of the iDrive control and operating system.
• On a single-piece, frameless glass surface, the BMW Curved Display covers a completely digital screen made up of a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch control display.
• The BMW iX features a hexagonal steering wheel with a track-inspired contour that enhances grip. The BMW iX electric SUV features new multifunction buttons and optional steering wheel heating with three-stage control.
