Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra was constantly destroying evidence related to pornography. So he had to be arrested for investigating the exploits of making porn movies and releasing them on the app.

A petition challenging the arrest of Kundra was heard in the Bombay High Court on Monday in which the public prosecutor opened many secrets about his porn business. The High Court has completed the hearing on the petition and has reserved its decision. The court will give its decision on this later.

Raj Kundra was Destroying Evidence

• Raj Kundra, arrested for making porn films, has challenged his arrest in the High Court, calling it illegal. Justice Ajay Gadkari heard the matter.
• Public prosecutor Aruna Pai made several arguments regarding Kundra’s pornographic business. He tried to explain with facts why his arrest was necessary. He told that Kundra is a British citizen and was constantly engaged in destroying the evidence. In such a situation, would the police remain mute spectators?
• At the same time, Kundra’s lawyer Abad Ponda denied the police’s arguments.
• While Ryan Thorpe’s lawyer Abhinav Chandrachud submitted that his client was served a notice under section 41(a) of IPC but was not given time to respond.

Raj Kundra refused to sign the notice under Section 41(A) of IPC

• The public prosecutor argued that Kundra is the admin of the Hotshop app. During the search, the police seized electronic devices including laptops. User files, emails, messages, FaceTime, Internet browsing history, including subscriber details, and different types of invoices have been found from Raj Kundra’s laptop.
• Crime Branch has received 51 adult films from Storage Network while 68 pornographic movies have also been received.
• Apart from this, scripts of films with sexual content have been found. When Raj Kundra refused to sign the notice under Section 41(A) of IPC, he had to be arrested.
• Kundra and Ryan Thorpe, IT head of his company Viaan Industries, were arrested by the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police on July 19. After that, both remained in police custody till July 27 by order of the court.

Meanwhile, on July 25, Kundra had filed a petition in the High Court challenging the arrest saying that the police had made the arrest illegally. Currently, Kundra and Thorpe are in judicial custody for 14 days.
