Punjab reached Number One in the Country in the Death Rate from Corona, left Maharashtra behind

On Tuesday, the death rate was recorded in Punjab at 2.7 percent and that of Maharashtra at 2.0 percent

The second wave of Corona seems to be stopping. The daily cases of corona are decreasing. Meanwhile, the situation in Punjab has started getting scary. The number of people who lost their lives due to corona infection in Punjab is not decreasing. Punjab has overtaken Maharashtra in terms of the death rate from Corona and has reached number one in the country.

  • On Tuesday, the death rate was recorded in Punjab at 2.7 percent and that of Maharashtra at 2.0 percent.
  • This rate in the country is 1.3 percent. However, it is a matter of relief that due to the recovery rate being 97 percent, so far 5.7 lakh people have defeated the epidemic in the state.
  • So far more than one crore samples have been taken in the state, out of which 5 lakh 97 thousand positives have been found. 16177 infected have died.
  • At present, there are more than 1600 active patients. Three months ago, the infection rate in the state had reached 13 percent, which has now come down to 0.36 percent.

115 new cases, 5 deaths

In the last 24 hours in Punjab, 115 new corona infections were found and 5 patients died. So far 7663094 people have been vaccinated. Of these, 6216504 have been given the first dose and 1446590 people have been given the second dose. On Tuesday, 36628 people got vaccinated.
