PM Narendra Modi fits the eligibility criteria for the second phase of vaccination at age of 70. Prime minister Narendra Modi, received the Bharat Biotech vaccine shot at AIIMS, Delhi as the stage 2 drive of vaccination.
He turned to Twitter to announce the covid shot along with a photo. Commending the researchers, PM Modi said that “it is amazing how quickly they have managed to get the corona vaccine.” He inspired the citizens to participate in the mass immunization drive.
Candidates who are eligible must get their second covid shot, he added on Twitter.
PM reached the hospital early morning, according to the report of Indian express. He took the vaccine by sister Nivedita, from Puducherry. While the other nurses belong to Kerala, as per the IE report.
Interestingly he was seen putting on “red gamcha” which is the typical symbol of Assamese culture.
PM Modi covers the eligibility criteria for the second phase of inoculation drive at the age of 70. The stage 2 vaccination begins today which will cover the citizens above 60. Candidates having comorbidity conditions will have a relaxed age norm, that is above 45 years or above. Such individuals must have a certificate attested by a registered doctor, which clearly states the conditions of comorbidity.
From today, anybody who fits the eligibility criteria for the vaccine dose can self-register via the Co-WIN app and can book the slot between 9 am to 3 pm. When the vaccination is free in the government hospitals, those who want to take the covid shot in private health institutes, have to pay 250 rupees for each shot.
