Mercedes Benz A-Class Limousine
The A-class Limousine is very much in line with the latest design language from Mercedes in terms of styling. This implies that it features a large front grille, new LED headlamps and signature LED DRLs with the front and center of the ‘three-pointed star.’ Beyond this, the model gets longer rear doors and a smooth roofline that flows into a well-integrated boot lid, the design of the A-class hatchback until the B-pillar. Completing the look are large swept-back tail lights and a well-shaped rear bumper.
The A-class sedan with a choice of both a petrol and diesel powertrain will be available under the hood. A 1.3-liter, four-cylinder turbo-petrol unit producing 163hp is likely to be the petrol engine, while a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 194hp will be the diesel unit. Using a 7-speed automatic gearbox in the petrol version and an 8-speed automatic in the diesel version, the power will be sent to the front wheels.
The sedan is expected to come in a single fully loaded Progressive Line trim on the front of the equipment, featuring a twin-screen layout with the latest MBUX infotainment system and connected-car tech (one for the infotainment system and one for the instrument cluster). Dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, powered memory-function front seats and a wireless phone charger will also be part of the package.
Further down the line, Mercedes will also bring the performance-oriented AMG A35 sedan to India. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine churning out 306hp of power and 400Nm of torque will power the A35. The engine is paired with an automatic 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system from Mercedes will also come as a standard fit. This model, including a tweaked front grille and bumpers, sportier alloy wheels, an aggressive rear diffuser, a boot lip spoiler, and circular dual-tip exhaust pipes, will get some AMG-specific styling.
