World Autism Awareness Day – 2021

  • The world Autism Awareness Day is celebrated on 2nd April Every Year by the United Nations organization.
  • The agenda of celebrating this day is to spread awareness everywhere about Autism. 
  • Although, the theme of the year 2021  is “Inclusion in the Workplace: Challenges and Opportunities in a Post-Pandemic World”.
  • According to the National Health Portal Of India, nearly 18 million people of people are living under ASD ( Autism Spectrum Disorder). 
  • The united nations general assembly declared April 2nd as the World Autism Awareness Day in 2007.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

    What is Autism? 

Autism is a neurological condition and developmental disorder that first manifests by the time a person is around three years old. These symptoms of this disorder can be seen in changes in communications, social interaction, and imagination itself. 

Autism is a lifelong neurological condition that manifests during early childhood, irrespective of gender, race, or socioeconomic status. The term Autism Spectrum refers to a range of characteristics.

  •  Autism spectrum disorder or ASD is a developmental disorder and doesn’t have any cure.
