Akshaya Tritiya Tithi (third day) of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month is observed as Akshaya Tritiya. It is believed that Lord Parshuram, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu was born on this day. Akshaya Tritiya 2021 will be celebrated on Friday, May 14.

• The religion cherishes Tirthankara Rishabha’s one-year fast which halted on Akshay Tritiya when the sage ended the fast with sugarcane juice.
