Results came out when the center announced a draft notification for linking driving license and RC, with the 12 digit Aadhar card number.
As of March 4, Thursday, the Ministry of Road and Transport highways (MORTH) issued a notification, according to which, people will not be needed to visit the RTO office for the renewal of driver’s license or as many other 18 services like vehicle registration or learner’s license, etc.
To provide a convenient and easy service, Aadhaar-authentication contactless services will be provided.
“Certain services regarding driver’s license and certificate of registration have been made completely online. Now, these services can be availed without going to RTO. with Aadhar-authentication, on a voluntary basis, anyone can get the benefit of these contactless services”, the MORTH posted on Twitter.
