• The Jeddah Astronomical Association has reported that the sighting of the Shawwal crescent will most likely happen on May 12 (Wednesday).
• On seeing the moon, people wish each other Eid Mubarak. The day is marked by wearing new clothes, meeting friends and family, and relishing delicious food.
