BMW nineT and R nineT Scrambler launched in India

BMW R nineT Scrambler

In India, BMW Motorrad has unveiled their new R nineT and R nineT Scrambler versions. The price of the new BMW R nineT and R nineT Scrambler is Rs 18.50 lakh and Rs 16.75 lakh, respectively. Both are ex-showroom costs (India).

The BMW R nineT and R nineT Scrambler will both be imported as CBUs (Completely Installed Units) into India. Both motorcycles are now available for booking at all BMW Motorrad dealerships in India. The delivery of the same is expected to begin soon.

The motorcycles are filled with features, technology, and equipment. This includes LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a twin-pod instrument cluster (available only on the R nineT), and twin-can exhausts. The R nineT Scrambler comes with alloy wheels and knobby tires, while the top-of-the-line R nineT comes with spoke wheels.

The suspension configuration is also different. Front telescopic forks with rubber gaiters are standard on the R nineT Scrambler. The BMW R nineT, on the other side, comes standard with USD front forks. Both bikes, however, have the same braking system, with dual 320mm front discs and a single 265mm rear disc.

Granite Grey Metallic, Cosmic Blue Metallic/Light White Uni, Kalamata Metallic Matte, and Black Storm Metallic/Racing Red are the four paint schemes available on the entry-level BMW R nineT Scrambler. Similarly, the BMW R nineT is available in four color variations. Black Storm Metallic, Option 719 Aluminium, Night Black Matte/Aluminum Matte, and Mineral White Metallic/Aurum are some of the options available.

The same 1170cc dual-cylinder air-cooled boxer engine drives both motorcycles. It has a six-speed gearbox and produces 108bhp at 7250rpm and 119Nm of peak torque at 6000rpm. Both motorcycles, according to BMW Motorrad, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 km/h.

Both bikes are fitted with a range of electronic rider aids to assist with this. There are two riding modes: Rain and Lane, as well as dynamic brake control, ABS pro, automatic stability control, and travel-dependent damping.
