6 Reasons Why You Should Own An Audi Sports Car

Consumers demand vehicles that combine efficiency, comfort, and intelligent driving technology, so performance vehicles have changed drastically over the last decade and will continue to evolve. Audi’s new R and RS performance models are built to fill the void, with complexity, creativity, and brutally powerful performance.

Here are six reasons why we believe the Audi performance model lineup would fit anyone’s automotive needs:

  • Premium 3D Advanced Sound System by Bang & Olufsen

Bang & Olufsen 3D Advanced Sound System, with two special acoustic lenses that emerge from the dashboard, is standard on Audi’s performance vehicles. The mid-and high-frequency sounds are reflected off the lens by these specially built tweeters, which push sound 180 degrees around the cabin. You get a natural listening experience that makes you feel like you’re in a concert hall with up to 23 speakers in the cabin, including high up in the A-pillars and even in the vehicle headliner.

  • The architecture of the Audi R and RS models is inspired by race cars

The Audi performance models are heavily influenced by motorsports, with striking exterior design elements that combine cool understatement with a dynamic edge. The use of high-performance technology from Audi’s motorsport heritage is naturally mirrored in the visual appearance of R and RS vehicles, as the concept of “form follows function” dictates.

The proportion and location of the Singleframe grille is wider and lower in many of these newly unveiled performance models, giving them an aggressive and sporty look. The horizontal slits between the grille and the hood on some models are reminiscent of the classic Audi Sport Quattro from 1984. The turbocharged engines’ strength is also symbolised by large elliptical air inlets and large elliptical tailpipes.

  • Optimum reliability is ensured by endurance testing

Audi research engineers devote a significant amount of time and expertise to endurance testing of performance models. Engineers, for example, spent nearly two years on the road with production vehicles and prototypes in the all-new Audi RS Q8, covering more than 1.2 million kilometres, the equivalent of going around the world 30 times. They went on test drives in Finland, Sweden, France, Italy, and South Africa. China and the United States of America. They took place on a variety of racing tracks and roads.

  • On-demand cylinder to minimise the effect

Cylinder deactivation on output engines is part of the efficiency mechanism cylinder on demand (COD). The device deactivates half of the cylinders at low to medium load and engine speed to allow for efficient operation.

As a result, the machine switches off fuel injection and ignition in milliseconds The driver, for the most part, is unconcerned about it. The deactivated cylinders are reactivated when the driver pushes the accelerator pedal. In real-world, everyday commutes, the COD method can minimise fuel consumption by several tenths of a litre per 100 kilometres. On the track, Audi’s R and RS vehicles are excellent and powerful machines.

  • Output dials in the Audi Virtual Cockpit

With a 12.3-inch TFT panel, the Audi virtual cockpit is a fully digital instrument cluster. It has a resolution of 1 440 x 540 pixels or a full HD resolution of 1 920 x 720 pixels, depending on the car. Its graphics on the monitor are extremely sharp and accurate.

Traditional speed and rpm estimates, as well as information on navigation, media, and driver assistance systems, are all shown on the digital monitor. Outside temperature, time, and odometer readings, as well as warning and information symbols, are all displayed graphically.

  • LED matrix headlights

The new Audi R and RS models come standard with outstanding lighting technology and excellent results. The Matrix LED headlights’ intelligent feature illuminates the road brilliantly without blinding other drivers. With tiny light-emitting diodes packed together for an excellent line of sight, the headlights deliver a high beam. Other objects ahead can be detected by the controller system, which will dim the lights to cover them while leaving the zones between and adjacent to them completely illuminated. HD Matrix LED headlights are available on some models, providing even more powerful illumination of the road ahead for a better driving experience.
